Evidence-Based
School Counseling

THE
CONFERENCE

Thank you for your interest in contacting us at the Evidence-Based School Counseling Conference (EBSCC).

Often, people are seeking information that is either on the website (e.g. program schedule) or that will be posted to the website when announced (e.g. Request for Proposals). We have included a list of Frequently Asked Questions and their answers below. If none of these addresses your question, please email us at ebsccinfo@gmail.com and we will return your email as soon as possible.

When and where is the conference?

The 2027 conference will be held in person at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte on March 6th and 7th, preceded by a Research day on March 5th.

Where can I find the conference program?

We will release a 2027 conference program in early February 2027 on this website.

How do I register for the conference?
Are there group discounts?
Do you accept POs from school districts?

Registration will open December 15, 2026. If you are a school district leader and require a Purchase Order for multiple school counselors to attend the EBSCC, please follow the directions in the registration portal.

When is the Requests for Proposals (RFP) and how do I submit a session proposal to the EBSCC?

The link to the proposal submission website will be posted August 24 on the Proposals page. Once the RFP window has closed on October 2, 2026, the link will be removed until the following year’s RFP.

I need a W-9 from EBSCC to process our registration. Where can I get this?

The W-9 for EBSCC 2027 will be available closer to registration.

What is Research Day? Should I attend?

Please see this sample Research Day schedule to see examples of the workshops offered during the Research Day. The Research Day is offered to assist those interested in research in building impactful, practical research that contributes to the school counseling profession. Often, doctoral students and junior faculty in school counselor education find this day particularly empowering in equipping them with the skills needed to conceptualize how to apply their passion areas to create a research agenda and to gain the skills needed to begin fulfilling that research agenda. Opportunities for mentoring and networking with other researchers and educators are built into the Research Day schedule.
